"Rose's Move" written by Graham McComiskey, illustrated by Janice Blaine

Synopsis

Rose’s Move originated in the experience of a move that my family made within Calgary, from our one bedroom condominium suite to our present day home. Rose, our first born daughter, went from her crib, tucked into the cozy West facing side of the walk through closet in her parent’s bedroom, to a bed in her own bedroom in our new home. Seemingly oblivious to the chaos of the move, I could not help but wonder how much of the change she sensed or understood. This is the first in a series of books about Rose as she navigates change and other challenges in life. It is my hope that parents are able to use this and other books in the Rose series to help their children navigate life’s transitions and trials.

EDGE Science Fiction and Fantasy Publishing published my cover for Amber Hayward's most recent book, Stolen Children. This is the third in the Children of the Panther series.

Synopsis

Stolen Children tells the tale of Ana, a girl with amazing psychic powers. Although under the thumb of Caldos, a megalomaniac wizard, Ana continues in her loving goal to heal all who need healing. At her touch, babies become part of a psychic tribe whose loyalty is only to each other, who are disdainful to those without their powers. These infants crawl away from their natural families, braving any danger, just to be with their own kind.
